Smartphones are becoming an essential part of our lives and in recent years we have seen quite a development in a smartphone, more and more features are added in smartphones these days. The world is changing.
Today smartphones are enhanced with dynamic designs and excellent performance and we are given with different choices, which gets hard for us to decide which one to buy.
Some things people usually check before buying smartphones are
1. RAM
2. ROM
3. SCREEN SIZE
4. CAMERA
5. BATTERY
6. OS/USER INTERFACE
and yes they are some required and essential things to take a look at but there are some other things too.
so if you are planning to buy a smartphone here are some things you need to look at.
1. Build Quality
Build quality simply defines durability. There are two type of builds- metal and plastic. The handset comes with glass-coated panels which are very limited.
And if you are not so good at handling then it is good for you to buy a handset with metal or plastic body,
2. Display
the size and resolution of the display depending on how you use your smartphone. If you often stream videos, edit photos or videos or download and view movies, then a smartphone display ranging from 5.5-inch to 6-inch, full-HD or QHD resolution should be good enough for you.
Anything larger than a 6-inch display not makes the handset extra bulky, but also difficult to carry around. If you are a regular user and largely use the smartphone for checking emails, chatting and browsing social media apps, then everything from 5-inch to 5.5 inch HD or full HD display handset is perfect.
3. Processor
The processing power of smartphones depends from one device to another depending on several factors such as OS version, UI, bloatware and more.
If you are a heavy user who needs to edit images, stream videos, play heavy games, and use apps in split screen mode it is good to go for QUALCOMM Snapdragon 652 or snapdragon 820/821 should make multitasking fluid for you.
But if you are light user will be fine if their headsets come with mediate processors.
4. Camera
having more pixels does not mean the camera will be better sometimes even 12 MP camera is better than 16 MP camera. Several specifications such as camera aperture, ISO levels, Pixel size, autofocus and more are essential as well. Same theory goes for the front-facing camera.
A number of pixels mean more the size of the image, which becomes sharper when seen on a small screen. A photographer enthusiastic can go for 12 MP and 16 MP sensors under f/2.0 or lower aperture for speedy shots even in low lights. A casual shooter can go even with an 8 MP or 12 MP cameras with f/2.0-f/2.2 aperture.
5. User Interface/OS version
The user interface is an important criterion. As we have seen different operating system offers a different interface. It is better to prefer the latest ions because buying old ios may lead to a crash. And talking about the interface, the phone you buy must have user-friendly interface that you can understand very well to avoid any further problems.
6. Battery
The only thing that worries today generation is the battery life of the smartphone. I mean it’s obvious that smartphone you buy may sustain throughout the day. As people deal with their smartphones differently than it is just to keep in mind the way you are going to use your smartphone.
For light use like surfing the internet and listening to music you can prefer to buy a handset with a battery of 2000-3000 mAh but if you use your handset for gaming most of the time then you should prefer battery of more than 4000 mAh.
7. Storage
8. USB PORTS
another thing to remember is to look for a smartphone which supports OTG cable or on go flash drive. Most of the phones support these features nowadays so negative situations may not appear to you but still to be sure read the description before buying any headset.
9. Audio/Speakers
Speakers and the quality of audio coming out of it can be an important factor for those who rely on heavy video streaming or video conferences. If you like entertainment-on-the-go, but the handset that has front facing speakers. This gives clear sound even while holding a smartphone in landscape mode.
If you don’t much prefer video streaming, then a regular handset with bottom-firing speakers should be just fine. Those with speakers placed at all the back are also fine.
